We have breakfast in our accommodation with a view of the sea, all very rich. We have arranged for our diving baptism. First they give us a little talk to show us how the equipment works, signals to communicate underwater... We go to the pool, learn how to inflate and deflate the vest, remove the water from the goggles underwater and how to recover the respirator if it leaks. Then we get on a boat and approach a reef in Gili Meno.

We're meeting Mati, to take us to Pandagbai to catch the speedboat to Gili Trawangan.

Pandagbai

We're meeting Mati, today we'll visit the Gunung Batukaru area, the second highest peak on the island. The road is impressive, mountain road, big canyons, jungle and rice fields... what more could you ask for.

Road to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

Yesterday we met our driver Mati to spend the day getting to know the south of the island.

Our first stop is the Pura Taman Ayun, a temple and garden complex in Bali, with beautiful towers in the shape of a pagoda or meru of different levels. There are many places to celebrate. It is worth it.

At 1 a.m. we leave with the van to the entrance point of the Park, the PHKA post in Pos Paltuding. It is cold and while waiting for our guide we have breakfast at a local post.

Our guide's name is Nini. We start, it is a path of about 3 kilometers to the observation post (about an hour), from here to the top of the crater is about half an hour.

At 3 a.m. we are picked up by a jeep, old but with a very good point, the bad thing is the smell of diesel. We do the tour from Cemoro Lawang, entering the great crater to climb to a viewpoint in the Gunung Penanjakan in which to see sunrise overlooking the Bromo.

We get up at 5.30 for breakfast before we leave. At 6.30 we are picked up by a car and taken to Yogya train station. We have a long journey ahead of us. The train is very basic, sky seats and quite dirty. The bathroom without words. The landscape is wonderful, very green, rice fields, palm trees...

We had breakfast at the hostel, which was very good. At 8 o'clock our driver Nono comes to pick us up.

We continued to the airport, having breakfast in the only open establishment, the Bim Burger, nasi goreng, wings, onion rings and hamburgers. We flew with Air Asia and our flight was delayed, from 4 A.M to 5.50 A.M. An hour later we arrived at the Airport in Yogyakarta.

After an 8-hour flight we arrive at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

We change terminal to take another plane to Yogyakarta, it's been a hard day.
