Yesterday we met our driver Mati to spend the day getting to know the south of the island.
Our first stop is the Pura Taman Ayun, a temple and garden complex in Bali, with beautiful towers in the shape of a pagoda or meru of different levels. There are many places to celebrate. It is worth it.

We stop at a farm to try the famous Kopi Luwak, which they say is the most expensive coffee in the world (it is produced in small quantities every year, about 500 kgs.). This arabica variety goes through the civet's stomach to remove its bitterness and they say it brings extra value. It is delicious and you can drink it for about 4 euros. We also try other infusions and see how the coffee is made.

We travel through the beach area between Kerobokan and Kuta (Batu Bolong, Berewa, Prancak and Nelayan), stop for lunch and a swim at Jimbaran beach (further south from Kuta, on the Bukit peninsula), we find a fairly inexpensive local warung. It has good waves. At the moment the Balinese beaches do not excite us, probably the nature surpasses the beaches.

At sunset we approach the Pura Luhur Ulu Watu, the temple is located on a cliff, impressive sunset. In its gardens you can enjoy a Kecak dance although you have to be careful with the intrepid monkeys. It's mandatory to cover your knees to enter, you leave a sarong if you do not have one. Strongly recommended.
