We got up early, said goodbye to the Valencian women. Today we visit the Khao Yai National Park. We have a two-hour drive from Ayutthaya.
Khao Yai National Park
We stop to refuel, the car is running on gas whose tank is lodged in the trunk.
We arrive at the entrance of the park and are assigned a guide. We put on a kind of cotton gaiters that reach us above the knee, are to avoid leeches. You cannot visit the Park without a guide. Khao Yai is the oldest National Park in Thailand, monsoon forest practically intact.

We start the walk on a narrow path, our guide explains us the different types of plants, we hear monkeys, gibbons call them. Joaquin has a leech hooked on his belly. Our guide grabs it, it is huge, and applies a cream on his belly that does not leave him hurt.

Butterflies
It is important to take repellent, the humidity is high. An hour and a half later we arrive at the savannah, we access a wooden post to spot animals, they leave us some binoculars. We do not see anything, it is noon and the best chances are at sunrise and sunset. We arrive at Haew Suwat Waterfall.
With our guide
We return to the entrance of the Park, the incredible experience, totally recommended.
We stop for lunch, a huge pole comes out of the water, is larger than yesterday.

We get into the car and the gibbons approach the trees near the road, they are giant and very noisy. Then we go up to a viewpoint where we walk half a kilometer to see some spectacular views.
