Today morning of relax, we have breakfast at the hostel. It is quite full and you have to queue up for everything.
Church
We strolled through the old town. We visit the cathedral of San Pedro, inside you will find the largest collection of Romanesque and Gothic capitals in Switzerland and some impressive stained glass windows. It is the main protestant parish. It has a viewpoint with panoramic views of the city.
The Basilica of Notre Dame is one of the main gothic catholic churches in Geneva located in the place Cornavin.

Next stop is the Molard Tower, initially built for military purposes.

We take another walk around the hostel and straight to the airport.
The International Airport of Geneva is very close to the city, about six kilometres away and you can go there by public transport.
Every five times an hour a train leaves Geneva Airport to the Geneva Central Station (Gare Cornavin), this is the fastest way to get to the city centre as it only takes 7 minutes.
There are ticket machines for the bus or train at the airport.
However, in the 'baggage collection area' you can get a free ticket for public transport from the special ticket machine. The ticket is valid for 80 minutes if you use it together with your plane ticket and allows you to use the bus, train, tram and boat (Unireso). For more information visit the Geneva Airport bus and train timetable guide and the SBB website.
