We got up early, it was a spectacular day. After breakfast we take the cable car to go up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest mountain station in the country.
Zermatt
Matterhorn
It takes about 45 minutes to get to the top. We see marmots running around the slopes. It makes several stops as there are still active ski slopes.
Views from the cable car
Once up, the views are breathtaking. The Matterhorn rises even more spectacularly. Monte Rosa also stands out.
Views from the viewpoint
There are some ski slopes that end in the Italian part of the Alps. Without words.
We go down, pick up the luggage and say goodbye to this beautiful place. The truth is that it would be worthwhile to dedicate at least a week.

We take the train back to Tasch. From here the car and direct to Geneva.
In just three hours we are in Geneva. The landscape is still spectacular. We travel along Lake Leman until we reach Geneva.
Lake Leman
First stop our accommodation, Geneva Hoste. It is the fairest of the three.
English Garden
The Palais des Nations, a magnificent building built at the beginning of the 20th century, is the headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva.
We are amazed at the luxury cars and stores, in stark contrast to the depressed streets just a few hundred meters away.
Jet d`Eau
Jet d`Eau
At sunset we go to the Jet d`Eau de Genève fountain, it is about 140 meters high. There is a pier and we visit the nearby English Garden. We see the sunset drinking a beer at a stand next to the Bains des Pâquis. It is an area with a lot of atmosphere.
