Transport

Public transport in Norway works perfectly and is very punctual. Trains, buses, boats, ferries... Its transport network allows you to visit the country without having to rent a vehicle. If you do, you do not need an international driving licence, but your own licence is valid if it is in force.

Accommodation

Norway is a rather expensive country so booking in advance is very important. We recommend that you stay in an apartment or hostel with shared kitchen, this way you will save a few NOK.

Gastronomy

Eating in Norway is expensive, even in the supermarkets. We bring some sausage from Spain and we buy in the supermarket to cook in the accommodation.

But don't miss out on cheese, cod or salmon or products such as whale and reindeer meat sausages.

Health and safety

Before travelling it is advisable to have travel insurance. If you are an EU citizen the European Health Insurance Card is valid, ask for it before you travel.

When to go

In the Scandinavian countries due to their latitude the sun does not set for a few months a year, in May and June you can enjoy this phenomenon known as midnight sun, which means that it does not get dark at all at any time of the day.

During these months the weather is warmer and sunnier, but any time is good to enjoy this impressive country, depending on the activities, sky, northern lights, fishing, hiking.
