It's very dark at dawn but it seems that it doesn't rain until the afternoon. We take the subway to City Hall, we want to go back to Brooklyn walking on the Brooklyn Bridge, the first steel suspension bridge in the world, and they say it's worth to get to the middle of the bridge and turn around to see Manhattan, they are right. What a late 19th century piece of engineering.

We continue our tour in Dumbo (Down Under Bridge), it's a beautiful walk, with a restored 1920s carousel, Jane's Carousel and at the pier the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory.

Next to it are the Empire Stores and Tobacco Warehouse, both former brick warehouses. We continue through the residential neighborhood passing by Truman Capote's house, Plymouth church and St. George Hotel. The Williamsburg Bridge, also made of steel, is worth the effort.

We return to the subway, we go to Prospect Park, it starts to rain cats and dogs and we return to look for Lucas and Nao, the rest of the day we spent in Bushwick.
The area was home to mostly textile and breweries. Although it has an industrial air, it is more unpopulated than the other areas.
