At 2,444 metres high, the Mesa de los Tres Reyes is the highest peak in the region of Navarre. It borders France and the provinces of Huesca and Navarre.

We start our route from the Linza refuge, taking the common path that also leads to Petrechema. We follow this path to the Collado de Linza where we turn off to the left towards the Hoya de la Solana, as we climb up to Petrechema on the right.

We continue northwest towards the lapiaz or karst following the milestones that lead us to the Hoya del Portillo de Larra. From here we progress steadily upwards along a well-marked path until we reach the summit, the last stretch of which is quite broken up.

The views from the summit on such a sunny day as today are impressive, on one side the Anie and on the other Petrechema and Acherito.

We descend following our steps to the lapiaz and Collado de Linza until we reach the car park of the Refugio de Linza.

This is the first time in the mountains that we have come across several disoriented people who have lost their way from their group, please take the necessary precautions so that this does not happen to you.

Route: linear
Distance: 17 kilometres
Elevation gain: 1,300 metres
Track on Wikiloc

Difficulty: moderate

Tips: if you do this route in summer remember that there is no shade or water along the whole route, so you should always be protected with sun cream and carry enough water. If you do the winter variant remember to take full equipment, ice axe and crampons. Be careful in winter as it is a kasrtika area with crevasses, a spectacular lapiaz that could be dangerous with little snow. Also be careful in foggy weather as it is very easy to get lost.
