We wake up in Georgetown, we've slept very well on the bus. We take a taxi to the hostel street. It's very early and most of them are closed.

Georgetown is a colonial city, it has a more decadent air, there are people sleeping in the arcades of the main street. We ask in a couple of places and stay at the Banana Guest House, it's very basic. We sleep on the first floor.

They have an agency and we buy some bus tickets to go to Krabi. While we wait a huge rat comes to the tables to see if he eats something, imagine the size of the cat that did not get off the chair.

We had breakfast in a very authentic restaurant, some dumplings and other delicacies that we don't know what they were called. It was full of locals and that's a good sign. It's in front of the market and we took a look. Georgetown is considered the gastronomic capital of Malaysia.

We take a local bus to visit the Kek Lok Si Temple, to Air Itam in Penang Hill. It's only fifteen minutes from the city centre.

It is the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia and to access it you have to climb a corridor with dozens of souvenir stands to the Ban Po Thar or Pagoda of the Ten Thousand Buddhas (more than seven levels and thirty meters high). An elevator takes you to an imposing figure that dominates the place. The views are spectacular. There is a small lake with dozens of turtles and fish.

We eat right after coming down from the temple in a market with local noodles with duck and egg and some chicken pasties, delicious.

A man is cutting durian and gives us a taste, we do not like anything. The durian is an Asian fruit very appreciated by the locals but its strong smell prevents it from being carried even on public transport.

We go back to the hostel and rest. In the afternoon we visit the Kuan Yin Teng Temple, there are several people praying.

We arrive to the Cornwallis Fort and the Town Hall, this area is more cared, there are big gardens. We call attention to other buildings such as the Mansion Cheong Fatt Tze (blue) and Pinang Peranakan.

At the end we take the point to the city. We had noodle and grilled chicken in a local restaurant and a pankacke in a street stall, delicious.
