It is dawn and we arrive in Kota Kinabalu, take a taxi to the airport and buy plane tickets to our next destination, Singapore.
The café where we have breakfast does not have good wifi so we cannot book accommodation in Singapore. In the plane instead of sleeping we are more than awake.
Kota Kinabalu
Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is a great urban adventure. It is the most prosperous city-state in Asia, a great metropolis, a strategic, commercial and financial point, avant-garde, modern, with impressive architecture, delicious street food and great shopping centers. It is one of the most expensive cities in the world but it is well worth a visit.
We take a transfer to get to T2. Here we take the metro to go from the Airport to our accommodation. The machine doesn't accept cards, we take money out but we have to go to change for small bills (the official currency is the Singapore dollar $S).
Flying to Singapore
We pass a checkpoint to access the subway. The nearest stop is Farrel Park, we get confused because there is another one with a very similar name, but a subway worker tells us before we leave, it seems that we are not the only ones.
We arrive to our station but it has six exits and we don't choose the right one, we walk around for half an hour until we finally find the Asphodel Inn Hotel. Some guys help us with their phones to find it.
Leong San See Temple
Our accommodation is very well located, in a quiet neighbourhood 3 minutes walk from Little India.
We're knackered, we have dinner at a nearby Indian restaurant a roti with chicken. Now to rest.
