Today we rent bikes to tour the island. After a quiet breakfast at the Guest, we rented five bikes for you.
Bridge to Don Khon
We reach a bridge (as there is no toll) and cross it to get to Don Khon, even more rural than Don Det. Rice fields, dense forests, small villages... a wonder.

We arrive at the end of the island, to a French wharf from where some boats leave to see the Irawadi dolphins. They are freshwater cetaceans whose number has increased in recent years. We agree on a price with the boatman and go for a drink.

When we return he tells us that we have to pay more because we are entering Cambodian waters. Some Russians who have just disembarked tell us that they have not seen anything, the river comes down very strong and very chocolate so it is practically impossible to see the dolphins. They want to charge us 8 euros per person so between this and the experience of the Russians in the end we don't ride the boat.
We take the bikes again and go to see the waterfall of Li Phi or Tat Somphamit. The river flows so strongly that you can hardly see the waterfall. It's quite impressive.

We have to leave the bikes at the entrance, there is a stall with food and another with gifts. We eat some rolls and have a soda. We try the sugar cane juice made by a man with a machine, it's funny because it's rough and sweet at the same time.

We go back to Don Det and leave the bikes. We take a shower and go watch the sunset on a terrace while drinking a beer lao, it's amazing how the sun melts into the river.
