It is our last day in San José. We have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and take a dip in the pool. We meet a Chilean couple who have taken six months to travel around the continent.
Hotel Ecological Inn
We visited the Sabana Park. A quiet and safe place for sports, walks or picnics. Right next to it is the national stadium built with the help of Chinese funds.
We are in an area of offices and emblematic hotels such as the Hilton.

We eat at the same restaurant as yesterday, the Parrilla de Pepe chuzo mixto, arepa and chicken empanada and a lemonade for 9,400 colones.

Our flight leaves at 8.30 p.m. and we decide to take the bus to the airport. The bus stop is a quarter of an hour's walk from the hotel. As it is not raining we decide to walk. Not advisable at night.
San José
The line to the airport is run by two companies, TUASA and Station Wagon, and runs every few minutes. If there is not too much traffic it takes about half an hour to get to the international terminal. The driver will let you know when your stop is coming up. You pay for your ticket in cash directly on the bus.
TUASA runs daily from 4.30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and runs every 5 to 10 minutes. You can catch it at the Merced station or at any of the stops on Avenida 3. The buses are red in colour.
Station Wagon offers the same services but the bus is yellow or orange.
Sabana park
We took it at the stop on Avenida 5 next to Mas por Menos and in front of the Nissan dealership.
As the rush hour is at 4 p.m. we decided to take it a bit earlier to avoid traffic jams and nerves.
Chuzo mixto
The driver informed us of the stop and we arrived perfectly.
Our flight left without delay and at the check-in desk we met the Navarros again and they told us how much they enjoyed Tortuguero.
